With the M3 Kirazlı-Metrokent/Başakşehir line to be connected and the southern extension; There will be integration with the M9 Ataköy-Olimpiyat metro line at İkitelli Industrial station, M7 Kabataş-Mahmutbey-Esenyurt metro line at Mahmutbey station, M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı metro line at Kirazlı station, M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport metro line at Bakırköy-İncirli station, Marmaray at Liberty Square station, and sea buses at Bakırköy İDO station.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu, who answered questions about the agenda in a television program he attended, stated that the region affected by the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes was the size of Greece and 3 of the Netherlands.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the length of the road in the earthquake zone responsibility network is 10 thousand kilometers, of which only 2 percent is affected by the earthquake, and most of the roads are old structures built 20 years ago.

Karaismailoğlu noted that all the structures built in the last 20 years are at a level that can handle the burden of possible earthquakes.

Karaismailoğlu stated that Hatay Airport is open to aid flights and that they will make the permanent project after next month.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they made warnings and gave the necessary penalties to mobile operators after the developments in the earthquake process, that the operators made their defenses, and that companies had to produce more resilient permanent communication.


Karaismailoğlu, underlining that they took over the Başakşehir-Kayaşehir Metro Line at a 5 percent progress level, said, “We have completed it in two and a half years. We completed it with one hundred percent. This place is 6.2 kilometers long. There are 4 stations. It starts from Başakşehir Metrokent. Onurkent, City Hospital, Kayaşehir Mass Housing and Kayaşehir Square stations are located.


It is a very important investment both for Istanbul and for Turkey. We will inaugurate our Başakşehir-Kayaşehir metro with the honors of our President. We are waiting for all our citizens. May our metro, which we have taken and completed at the level of 5 percent, be beneficial to the people of Istanbul.”


Noting that the construction of the July 15 Martyrs’ Bridge in Adana was also initiated by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, Karaismailoğlu said, “Unfortunately, the CHP mentality is not only in Istanbul. There are also in Adana, Aydın and İzmir.”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they will open this bridge, which is demanded by the people of Adana, towards the end of April, and said that the bridge was built entirely with local and national engineering.

Karaismailoğlu stated that they have also finished the Zigana Tunnel and aim to open it before the Ramadan Feast, underlining that the tunnel will be the longest in Europe at 14.5 kilometers. Emphasizing that the project shortens the existing road route by kilometers and buries the difficult conditions of winter in history, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Such structures have now started to be a bit of ordinary work in Turkey. We have goals. A strong infrastructure is needed to achieve these goals.”



Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line is again one of the mega projects, Minister Karaismailoğlu noted that the line is 400 kilometers long. Emphasizing that they will open the line to service immediately after the holiday, Karaismailoğlu said:

“We are starting from Ankara. We arrive at Elmadağ, Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Yozgat, Akdağmağdeni, Sorgun, Yıldızeli, and Sivas with 8 stations. Ankara-Sivas will be 2 hours by high-speed train, and Ankara-Yozgat will be one hour. There are 49 tunnels with a length of 67 kilometers in this project.

There are 49 viaducts with a length of 27 kilometers. Such a special project. We are bringing it to Sivas but will not leave it there. We’ll continue from there. Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars. In the coming years, this project will reach Baku. One of the citizens at the table said that if the high-speed train came to Sivas, it would increase migration. Let them ask him to the people of Sivas. Those who are against these investments aspire to management. ”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they will open the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro in Ankara this month, adding that they will connect all the metros of Ankara with this line.
